Cesc Gay was born in Barcelona in 1967. In 1998, he co-directed his first feature film, Hotel Room, which received the Jury Award at the Atlantic Film Festival in Cadiz in 1999. In 2000, he filmed Krámpack and, in 2003, En la ciudad, which was nominated for several Goya awards. Ficción is his fourth feature film. |

| Alex is a film director trying to finish the script of his next movie. With that excuse, he decides to get away for a few days from his wife and children and settle at a friend's house in a small mountain village. A quiet and lonely place; just perfect for his purpose. There, he will meet Monica, a violinist who happens to be there on holiday. It will be the beginning of an unusual relation. Two people, halfway between reality and their illusions. |
