12th Mar del Plata International Cinema Festival - From 7 to 17 November, 1996, organized by the Argentinean Cinema Foundation, Cinema and Audio-Visual Arts National Institute, INCAA, and the Culture Secretariat of the Nation.

The image used at the emblem of the festival is an oil painting by the artist Nicolás García Uriburu, called “Ombú Cósmico”.
