It´s impossible to choose just one of the eleven studio records made by Leonard Cohen, that immense Canadian singer-songwriter. However, New Skin for the Old Ceremony (1974) shines among them. Not only it works as a turning point in terms of production criteria, it also speaks if the author´s great songwriting talent. Eleven artists gathered to celebrate that record, each one with an audiovisual piece, curated by Lorca Cohen -Leonard´s daughter- and Darin Klein, program coordinator at the Hammer Museum in Los Angeles. The result was exhibited in festivals and museums such as MoMA, and is at the level of the great troubadour´s work.
