Last Call For The Second Annual Young Film Critics And Judges Workshop
The Mar del Plata International Film Festival together with the school of Film Criticism of the Universidad del Cine (FUC) open submissions for the second annual Workshop to take place from November 14 to 18, 2019.
Iberoamerican critics up to the age of 36 may participate and submissions will be received up to and including Sunday, September 1.
The 2nd Young Film Critics and Judges Workshop aims to strengthen and motivate the professional development of young Iberoameicans through audiovisual work and exchange. During the meetings, they will participate in the Workshop and be members of the Youth Jury that will award the “International Best First Feature Film Award” for the 34th edition of the Festival.
Participants will interact within the framework of the only Class A Film Festival in Latin American and have the possibility of getting to know its structure, programming and organization. Further, they will form part of a critical film analysis youth jury, with an active and practical perspective. They will also have the opportunity to write articles – to be published in various audiovisual platforms – about the different activities of the Festival.
The workshop consists of four meetings organized by recognized national and international critics and programmers. The six Iberoamerican youth critics will be accompanied throughout the process of writing their articles and the jury process. They will have to watch, debate and justify in writing, and select the winner of the “International Best First Feature Film Awards”. The prize will be awarded by the Universidad del Cine (FUC) based on the judgment of the youth jury.
