MUBI will give a prize in the Altered States Competition

The Altered States Competition, one of the seven official competitions of the Festival, is focused on a more auteur cinema and is aimed at a specific audience, and for this reason its profile is more radical and the Argentine and international films – feature length, medium length and shorts – that participate in the competition explore new narrative forms and innovative cinematographic languages.

Another point worth highlighting is that several international films that are participating in the 36th edition of the Mar del Plata International Film Festival will be available on MUBI soon. Among these are Titane by Julia Ducournau, Memoria by Apichatpong Weerasethakul and What Do We See When We Look at The Sky? by Alexandre Koberidze. This latter film is participating in the International Feature Film Competition.

MUBI is offering their service 30 days for free so that all of the Festival public can enjoy the platform’s contents.

With these initiatives, the platform seeks to support local and international productions, as well as the major festivals, in order to disseminate projects and proposals of artistic quality.
