Sofia Bohdanowicz returns to Audrey Benac, the star of his previous films who now lives in deceased friend Juliane’s apartment in Paris. In March, 2020, Audrey starts sending letters with two friends—Burk, who lives in Istanbul, and Blake, who lives in Toronto. The correspondence has different formats (16mm, 4K, 3D) and a healing nature. The apartment where Audrey lives establishes a dialogue with Blake and Burak’s territorial explorations, intertwined with virtual navigations that work as keys in the contact between geographically distant friends. Formats and textures play a central role—film is a tool to get to know the other person better, but it’s also an infinite terrain when it comes to the possibilities in light, noise and colors. The ghostly presence of Nam June Paik, a video art pioneer, evince the experimental searches of the three filmmakers.
