María and Manuel have a plan, or, rather, two—spending New Year's at the home of Manuel's sister and her partner and, while they're at it, ask them for a very sensitive favor. The hosts have all the money María and Manuel lack. And, even though people insist on telling them that nothing is impossible, it seems quite clear that happiness only exists for those who are able to afford it. But that is just the beginning of their misadventures—a lot of weird stuff happens in that house. Weirder, even, than its owners' New Age discourse and practices, or the disturbing group of servants dressed in white they tend to call their “godsons.” This way, little by little, both the visit and the film itself start to turn into a real nightmare. Jorge Pinarello, creator of the hit YouTube channel Te lo resumo así nomás, makes his big-screen debut with a mutant black comedy.
