The day goes by at a captivity center, while the mysterious world of sheltered animals is exposed. The cycles of birth and death frame their lives, which pass by among everyday rituals of care and control. What do animals express when they look directly into our eyes?

Manuel Mateo Gómez

Manuel Mateo Gómez was born in Colombia in 1994. He is an anthropologist and filmmaker. He graduated in documentary directing from the International School of Film and TV in San Antonio de los Baños, Cuba. His short Oculta was shown in the Cinema de Urgência section of Doclisboa 2021
