Colin Maillard
Absent in most of the film seasons and retrospectives devoted to her work, the first three shorts by Patricia Mazuy, Dead Cats, La Scarpa and Colin Maillard, seem to have become ghost films. The first two were self-financed with the money the director herself made from other jobs, while Colin Maillard was made thanks to the modest financial contribution of her father. The first images of one of the most potent directors in French cinema.
Patricia Mazuy
Patricia Mazuy was born in France in 1960. She is a writer-director. After her first shorts, she worked as an editor for Agnès Varda in Vagabond (1989). There she met Sandrine Bonnaire, who would become the star of Thick Skinned (1989), her first feature. She wrote and directed some of her works alongside her husband, actor Simon Reggiani.
