This program has as its main goal to train and generate new audiences by strengthening the relationship of elementary and high school students with film in general, and Argentine film in particular. Film is a tool that allows, through its stories, to resignify and question one’s own. The purpose of those who carry this program forward is to make students live the cinematic experience on a big screen once a year, inviting them to discover that film also has stories for them. We work bringing Argentine pictures to the INCAA Spaces network all around the country, and accompanying each screening with educational content so that the teachers can later use the audiovisual language as a tool inside the classroom. This time, “Schools Go to the Movies”, from the Sub-management Section of Federal Development in alliance with the Provincial Department of Secondary Education (DGCyE) from the Buenos Aires Province, will present three screenings during the Festivals, on November 7, 8 and 9. We will project three films from Argentine women directors— Motorcycle Kids, from Gabriela Vidal and Inés María Barrionuevo; Sabrina Blanco’s Boat Rower Girl; and Ana Katz’s Florianopolis Dream.
