Vicente is 19 years old and a member of Nietes, a group made up of grandchildren of people who disappeared during the last dictatorship who gather to think, discuss, paint flags, stick posters and, ultimately, create their own history without ceasing to interweave it with that of their grandparents. The time portrayed in Político shows the building of an emerging political training linked to memory and the continuity of a history of struggle, from the necessary acts of militancy as well as the moments that involve talking, playing and displaying affection with family and friends. Learning takes place in the streets and during assemblies, but also on a car in which Vicente takes his cautious first steps as a driver. Político reminds us that political training is also, in part, a story about sentimental education.
