The outlook is not that promising. After a new suicide attempt —about which she remembers nothing—, Star is admitted at a hospital. During her first night, she doesn’t listen to any of the doctors’ indications and a therapeutic companion is appointed so she doesn’t hurt herself again. This way, she meets An, who has just arrived from Shanghai and whose mission seems simple—to care for the fragile teenager and create an environment of support for her. Among text messages, knowing looks (those that say much more than any desperate cry) and pop songs, the relationship between Star and An grows and becomes the motor of the new film by Ashley McKenzie, who had already caught people by surprise with Werewolf, her first film.
