Something in the Dirt

Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead continue to build one of the most interesting filmographies in contemporary US cinema. Their three movie run of Spring, The Endless and Synchronic might well be the envy of many of his colleagues. Even so, and despite having flirted with the mainstream by directing Marvel series, the career of this filmmaking duo continues to be a treasure waiting to be discovered. In Something in the Dirt, their first film in three years, they once more shape a world in which the supernatural is the norm. John and Levi, two neighbors played by the directors themselves, witness a series of inexplicable, chilling events in Los Angeles. Their friendship starts to break as they try to document these paranormal events. Further proof of the originality of Benson and Moorhead's cinema.
