The sudden disappearance of Laura in Trenque Lauquen during a work trip leads to the encounter between the two men who love her—Rafael, her boyfriend, and Ezequiel, a friend with whom she used to do research on some peculiar erotic letters found in the town libraty. Just like other El Pampero Cine productions, the new film by Laura Citarella breaks out in unexpected directions—from a steamy romance set in the 1960s to the mystery of an enigmatic being found in the Trenque Lauquen lagoon. The fascination towards tales and adventurous spirits as key elements that structure the film, the Buenos Aires Pampas, vast and immeasurable, finds infinite fictions. Two worlds coexist in Trenque Lauquen—that of everyday life, with its routines and work activities, and another one made up of hidden stories and past lives, which can surface if one is curious enough.
