Sandra is a young widow who raises her daughter by herself as she takes care of her father, who suffers from a neurodegenerative disorder that faces her with losing the relationship they once had. In the context of this tough present, the reunion with an old friend will be an oasis from which an intense yet obstacle-filled womance will flourish. In One Fine Morning, Mia Hansen-Løve builds a universe that has love as its life support. As in many of her previous films, that feeling will be the pillar of a plot made up of bonds whose vulnerable nature will not render them as less solid or deep. Distressing at times, but always loving, the film becomes strong thanks to the work of a cast capable of conveying the sensitive nuances staged by the drama, especially in the remarkable performance by Léa Seydoux.
