"We are aware of the connection between the personal and the political in a deeply autobiographical context. Addressing the complexity of family relationships in a country marked by historical conflicts, which enriches its narrative, the film reflects upon memory, intergenerational relationships and the search for reconciliation, universal themes that transcend borders. This documentary combines a poetic approach with political elements, making it a unique and emotionally resonant proposal. These types of intimate stories not only invite personal reflection, but also have the power to generate empathy. For this reason, we have decided to award We Are Inside, by Farah Kassem".
