The third day of the Mar del Plata International Film Festival was marked by rain encouraging a large number of spectators to come in to the theaters. From world premieres to established productions, the day's programming offered a wide variety of proposals that captured the general public’s interest.

In the International Competition, the world premiere of La quinta, directed by the Argentine Silvina Schnicer, was one of the highlights of the day. With the Auditorium Theater almost filled to capacity, the screening thrilled spectators, who had the opportunity to interact with the child actors during the post-screening question and answer session. The young actors won over the public with their freshness and spontaneity.

In the Argentine Competition, Cecilia Atán and Valeria Pivato's La llegada del hijo was presented, a production that addresses deep, humanistic issues with great sensitivity. The directors spoke with the audience after the screening and highlighted the importance of continuing to support and make national cinema visible.

For its part, the Argentine Panorama section offered two films that were very well received: Entre reinas, by Male Fainsod and Tomás Morelli, and Desentierros: Los libros que no heredamos, by María Julia Blanco, both notable for their originality and connection with the public.

In the Latin American Competition, the day included the screening of A procura de Martina, by Brazilian filmmaker Marcia Faria, who brought a unique perspective to the festival and reaffirmed the value of cultural diversity in the programming.

The day concluded with the long-awaited screening of Megalopolis, the blockbuster by Francis Ford Coppola, which attracted a massive audience. The Auditorium Theatre was packed, and the audience enjoyed a work that reaffirms the relevance and creative genius of the legendary director.
