In 1969, the Epstein brothers founded a music store in downtown Buenos Aires. They sold imported records and quickly became a sanctuary. Figures like Claudio Gabis, Nito Mestre, Charly García and Andrés Calamaro, all agree that it was the place of freedom and inspiration they so desperately needed. It was also the time when the artistic avant-garde was nourished by a nascent national rock scene, and in turn this, through art, provoked an explosion in the midst of a society isolated and lethargic, due to a repressive state apparatus. El Agujerito: For The Record tells the story of this iconic record store through archival material and testimonies.
