The Color of Pomegranates is a biography of an 18th-century Armenian troubadour and poet, which symbolically depicts the most important episodes in Sayat Nova's life. From his childhood to his youth, through his first love and his entry into a monastery, each of these chapters is developed from fragments of his works, seeking the poet's feelings rather than a real and linear reconstruction of the events.
