Sarah is a nurse at the local Children’s Health Center in Halisa, a multi-ethnic and poverty–stricken neighborhood in Haifa. While her life's work is to take care of children, she is unable to bring a child of her own into the world. Sarah’s desire to have a child is intertwined with the difficulties of a very young mother, Anya. Sarah provides to Anya and her baby with significant help, and the two women get very close until they reach a solution that gives her hope: the gift of a baby.
