Anabel and her mother, Delia, grieve for Julián, Anabel's father. An eviction notice forces them out of their Barcelona home and back to the olive groves of Jaén which they once left looking for a better future. Together, they will look for a way to rebuild their future by going back to their abandoned roots.

Belén Funes

Belén Funes (Spain) pursued a career in film direction at ESCAC. In 2018, she joined TIFF’s Talent Lab to develop A Thief's Daughter, her debut feature, which premiered at SSIFF and won the Silver Shell for Best Actress. The film also earned three Premis Gaudí and the Goya Award for Best New Director.
